The regulars were the best part of that Westinghouse summer. These hard working, genuine people — the full-timers — gently guided this stupid college kid through the maze of machinery and tote bins filled with unfinished parts. They kept me safe, apart from the grinder incident. They worked hard but they especially loved to tell stories, about their lives.
